On Saturday, May 1st, hundreds of people will gather at Roger Williams Park Carousel for a great day in the park and for an even greater cause.
The Children's Friend Walk sponsored by Panera Bread will be held at the park to raise money for Rhode Island's youngest and most vulnerable children.  While the day is a great family fun day with lots of activities for the entire family, it is also a day where clients, staff, and donors come together for the children we serve.

Its going to be a great day! We will begin the day with breakfast treats from Panera Bread, RI Ninjutsu Center will be performing under the big tent, and we’ll have a kids’ race around the carousel.  After the opening ceremonies and the walk, you can enjoy the YMCA’s “Y On The Move” activities and the bouncy obstacle course, Paws from the PawSox, Sparky the Fire Dog and the Smoke Trailer, Snoopy and the MetLife fingerprint clinic, music from DJs Ramos and Vargas, and live performances from Music One RI. Panera Bread will be providing lunch, as well as great food from Pizza Pie-er and Whole Foods Market. Then, you’ll be entertained by Mat the Magician.  There will be free carousel rides and plenty of activities for the whole family!

This year's Walk promises to be our best one yet...and, every dollar we raise goes directly into the programs supporting our young children at risk!
