Children’s Friend has been blessed with an active, involved, and dedicated policy council for many years. Our policy council is comprised of parents from the families we serve and representatives from the community.

The policy council and board of directors share governance for our Family Support Program. It is a unique, effective, and rewarding form of organization.

The parent representatives on policy council are actively involved in the screening of applicants for positions in our expanding Family Support Program.

Policy council parents have dedicated their summer to ensuring that our positions are filled with employees who share their passion and vision for high-quality and effective services. After, all this is about their children.

Parent governance, not just parent involvement, is just one of the many strengths of Children’s Friend.
