Our lecture series, “The Privilege of Caring, A Community’s Response to Needy Children”, has begun. The first two lectures in this 5 part series have been a great success. They have been informative and the discussion has been enlightening and inspiring.

This lecture series is an important part of the 175th Anniversary Celebration of Children’s Friend.

As we work to find the most effective and efficient ways to fulfill our mission, it is important for us to review the history of vulnerable children in Rhode Island, and our response to them.

Our main responsibility as an agency is to provide high-quality and effective direct services to children and families. We also have a responsibility to educate society on the needs of vulnerable children, and to advocate for the resources needed to give all of our children a real chance to succeed.

I hope you will be able to join us for one of the remaining lectures in this series. More information on the series is available by clicking here.
