We are very thankful to the Rhode Island Foundation for its recent grant to help Children’s Friend incorporate new strategies to improve language development in young children.

This funding will allow us to implement the “You Make the Difference” parent-child interaction program. This program from the well known Hanen Centre is an education/prevention program which is scientifically grounded in current research on social, language, and literacy development.

We are excited to launch this new strategy in our work throughout the agency.
