Title:                Bilingual Enrollment Specialist 

Reports To:      Parent Involvement and Community Partnerships Manager

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field. Must have good oral communication and organizational skills.  Reliable automobile, valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. Must provide proof of a physical examination not more than two years old; results of a TB test indicating free from TB and for women under 35 years of age, proof of measles, mumps and rubella immunization or immunity.

Duties:

  1. Oversee recruitment and enrollment of all children and their families in the Head Start and Early Head Start program.
  2. Work collaboratively with the Head Start managers and other staff to plan, develop, and implement an organized outreach and recruitment process for the Head Start communities.
  3. Maintain full enrollment for all Head Start classrooms and home based services by enrolling children and families in conjunction with the criteria approved by the Policy Council.
  4. Maintain up to date class lists and waiting lists and coordinate enrollment when there are openings.
  5. Ensure up to date records for enrollment and attendance, provide reports on attendance and coordinate needs with Child Development Supervisors.
  6. Contribute to the overall success and quality of the program and agency by working constructively and collaboratively with other staff members to address programmatic and agency-wide issues and needs.
  7. Assist in publicizing agency programs and educating others about the agency and its services.
  8. Provide leadership in ensuring that all individuals are treated respectfully and that diversity in backgrounds and life experience is supported and valued throughout the agency.
  9. Interact effectively and respectfully with others and particularly with individuals whose backgrounds and life experiences are different from one’s own
  10. Pursue ongoing professional development through attending relevant workshops and conferences (including Children’s Friend’s core supervisory training program).
  11. Other duties as assigned.
