Job Title:                      Development Data Assistant
                                   
Reports to:                   Director of Advancement
 
Qualifications:    Bachelor’s Degree preferred or high school diploma with commensurate experience. Ability to work flexible hours per program requirements required. A strong knowledge of general office procedures including typing, computer, telephone, data entry and filing skills.  Ability to develop the capability to provide other skills as necessary and to provide efficient support services to the Agency. Experience with Raiser’s Edge software preferred.

Duties

  1. Provide assistance to Director of Advancement on the advancement/development activities as needed, including assisting with correspondence, special projects, etc.
  2. Responsible for all data entry as part of the Raiser’s Edge program.
  3. Enters gift information timely and accurately.
  4. Ensures information in database is up to date and accurate.
  5. Produces reports in a timely, accurate and user-friendly way.
  6. Responsible for keeping an accurate binder for all donor backup information.
  7. Compile information for Annual Reports. 
  8. Generates all letters, envelopes, and labels from the Raiser’s Edge database. 
  9. Provide assistance and support at events.
  10. May assist with committee meetings, if needed, including taking notes. 
  11. Assist with mailings for the Department of Advancement.
  12. Interact effectively and respectfully with others and particularly with individuals whose backgrounds and life experiences are different from ones’ own.
  13. Constructively utilize formal and peer supervision to evaluate and improve effectiveness.  This includes active participation in supervision, team meetings and agency meeting
  14. Work with advancement staff to ensure that routine statistical reports are developed and available in a timely and accurate manner.
  15. Work with vendors and/or contractors as needed to ensure that fundraising software functions properly.
  16. Contribute to the overall success and quality of the program by working constructively and collaboratively with other staff members to address programmatic and agency-wide issues and needs.
  17. Pursue ongoing professional development through reading and attending relevant workshops and conferences (including Children’s Friend’s training program if applicable.
  18. Other duties as assigned.
