Children’s Friend Executive Director Named One of Providence Business News “40 Under 40”

David Caprio, Executive Director of Children’s Friend, has been selected as by the Providence Business News to their fifth annual “40 under Forty” list. 

The recognition is awarded to 40 business and non-profit leaders in the Ocean State, under the threshold age of 40, and is based on career success, community involvement and a commitment to making a difference.

Over the past two years, David’s leadership has shaped Children’s Friend as an agency recognized for best practices and innovative programs that respond to the needs of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable families.

In addition to his work at Children’s Friend, David is affiliated with a number of civic groups in Rhode Island. He serves as a member of the Chief Executive Officers’ (CEO) affinity group in the Child Welfare League of America, the Rhode Island Early Childhood Investment Council, The Providence School Readiness Planning Team for the United Way, and the Rhode Island Coalition Steering Committee for the Poverty Institute at Rhode Island College.

This year’s list was drawn from more than 120 applicants. The winners were formally recognized Thursday June 30th at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport.
