Children's Friend Head Start Director Accepted into Management Fellows Program At UCLA

Aimee G. Mitchell, MSW, LICSW, Administrator, Programs/Head Start Director at Children’s Friend has been accepted into the UCLA/Johnson and Johnson Head Start Management Fellows program. The program provides a unique opportunity for Head Start administrators to participate in a two-week extensive management training session held annually at UCLA Anderson School of Management. The program builds both executive and entrepreneurial skills.

“We are extremely proud of Aimee and her acceptance into this very prestigious program at UCLA” commented David Caprio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Friend. “This is truly an amazing opportunity for Aimee and the agency as we continue to build even stronger programming that supports the needs of our children”.

The extensive two-week program which includes 80 hours of classroom instruction, lectures, group discussions, case studies and workshops takes place in July and graduates are awarded a certificate from UCLA and are given the option of receiving academic graduate level credits or continuing education credits.
