Lee Grossi of Children’s Friend is Awarded Prestegious Lifetime Achievement Award by Providence Business NewsChildren’s Friend is proud to announce that Lee Grossi was awarded the Chief Financial Officer Lifetime Achievement Award by the Providence Business News (PBN). Grossi joined Children’s Friend in 2010, and is responsible for the agency's financial management, information services and property management functions. “Lee has managed the herculean task of guiding our financial services through extraordinary growth over a short period,” said David Caprio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Friend. PBN selected Grossi for the body of his work which spans four decades. Prior to joining Children's Friend, Grossi held various positions in state government including Budget Officer for the State of Rhode Island, Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Interim Rite Care Director. “I am humbled by this honor and appreciate David Caprio for having nominated me for this award,” said Grossi. “Children’s Friend is a wonderful place to work and I look forward to continuing to serve the families of Rhode Island during these particularly difficult financial times.” Grossi received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Providence College and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He resides in Cranston.
