Children's Friend recently received a $1,000 grant from Stop and Shop to help renovate the playground for our new Carter Street Head Start Center. Renovations were needed to meet Rhode Island child day care licensing standards and to provide a safe place for low-income, inner-city preschool children to run, jump and climb, promoting a healthier lifestyle.
