The National Center for Children in Poverty shows that one in five children has a diagnosable mental health disorder.

With this in mind, Children’s Friend observed Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day on May 6 with the help of The Parent Support Network of RI and DCYF. After listening to the book Glad Monster, Sad Monster: A Book About Feelings by Anne Miranda, the children expressed their feelings by drawing pictures.
