We are now in our second week of pre-service training for our employees who will be working in our expanded Family Support Program.

The first week was a smashing success. The facilities and campus at Bryant University are first class. Our week began with official welcomes from the Board and Policy Council. Superintendent Thomas Brady from Providence Schools, Superintendent Donna Morelle from Cumberland Schools, and Dr. Pamela High from Hasbro Children’s Hospital provided introductory remarks.

Some of the amazing presentations and classes included:

Head Start Performance Standards
Rhode Island Early Learning Standards
BrightStars Quality Rating System
Mind in the Making
City and Neighborhood Profiles
Team Building
The Special Needs of Homeless Children
Cultural Competence

We look forward to another successful week of training as we move forward with our plan to deliver high-quality and effective Head Start services.
