Operation Dough-Nation

Panera Bread “Doughnates” to Children’s Friend

Panera Bread’s Operation Dough-Nation program has raised more than $181,993 to support Children’s Friend. Panera Bread matches, dollar for dollar, donations that customers place in the “Dough-Nation” containers near the cash registers in Panera Bread stores. This money goes directly to Children’s Friend to help support programs for Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children and families.

According to Howley Bread Group (a franchisee of Panera Bread) Vice President of Operations, Bahjat Shariff, "We have been very fortunate with the success of the local Panera Bread stores, and it is important to us that we give something back to the community. Children's Friend plays an invaluable role in keeping children safe and healthy and strengthening families, and we are happy to support such successful programs."

To contribute to Operation Dough-Nation, simply visit Panera at one of their many locations and look for one of the containers near the cash register. Your “dough-nation” will be matched by Panera Bread and will support programs for the area’s children and families who need it most.
