The 7th Annual Walk for Children will be held on May 30th, 2009 at Roger Williams Park. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk will step off at 9:30 following the opening festivities. Panera Bread will once again provide the morning treats for registration.

The kids’ race around the Carousel will be returning once again.  Children will enjoy body art, carousel rides, painting their own t-shirts and a YMCA Bouncy Obstacle Course. Join the MetLife Snoopy and all his friends for a wonderful morning of fun, and don’t forget to visit our silent auction table!

The proceeds from the Walk will go to help establish a Children’s Friend therapeutic child care center.
This year, high school and middle school students are being offered an opportunity to compete against each other.  The high school team and the middle school team that raise the most money will be given a pizza party and a trophy to thank them for their efforts.

A Children’s Friend representative will be at the event to sign any paperwork needed to prove community service hours. Students, contact Amanda Ball at 401-276-4344 or aball@cfsri.org to receive a packet for your team!
