Family Counseling
The Family Counseling program provides culturally competent
mental health services for vulnerable children and families.
We have special expertise working with young children who
have histories of trauma and loss. We promote the healthy
social and emotional development of children of all ages. We
provide support to parents in managing the care of their
child. Our licensed clinicians can provide individual counseling,
family counseling, play therapy and parenting support.
We focus on family strengths, offering families hope and
empowerment. Counseling can be offered - in some cases -
in the home or in community settings. Our counselors
accept Blue Cross, United Health, NHP, Medicaid and
Rite Care insurance as well as self-paying clients.
Many families who come to us for counseling can benefit from
a range of other support programs that Children’s Friend
offers to eligible families, free of charge. We also link
families with a range of community resources outside of
the agency.
