Position:                      Development Associate – Part Time (Temporary 6 months)

Reports to:                 Director of Development

Supervises:                 N/A                            

Minimum Qualifications:   At least a high school diploma with 5 years of development or marketing experience.  A Bachelor’s degree with 1 years experience in development or marketing may be substituted.  Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license; must have and maintain an automobile fit for use in the program; and, must have and maintain auto liability insurance in amounts acceptable to the agency.

Abilities:   Able to follow directions and follow-up without further supervision. Able to work collaboratively and constructively with agency employees, donors, and outside entities.  Able to work a flexible schedule as dictated by the needs of the program. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists the Development Director in building positive relationships with donors and other individuals, including soliciting individuals or entities for donations as approved by the Development Director.

Coordinates the annual Luncheon planning: committee planning, organizing, soliciting, and other logistics, and follow-up, including thanking of supporters, stewardship of supporters and re-solicitation.

Assist with all Special Events, United Way Campaign, Media Events, Cultivation Events, mailings, and any other development initiated events as directed.

Other duties as assigned.
