Title:   Human Resources/Payroll Associate

Reports To: Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator

Qualifications: High School Diploma (or GED) and general office experience required.         
                         Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree and/or previous Human Resource/Payroll  
                         experience preferred.

Duties

Coordinate and facilitate new employee group orientation k.

Coordinate and process the bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely fashion.

Keep the Human Resource/Payroll Database up to date and ensure that changes are properly documented.

Keep the agency’s payroll and human resource files up to date and organized.

Review, track, and approve for payment invoices for benefits.

Notify benefit carriers of employee changes and ensure that they are made.

Assist employees with questions and or problems regarding payroll, benefits, and personnel policy issues.

File required forms with government agencies and insurance carriers regarding unemployment and workers’ compensation.

Maintain the agency’s central file for incident reports and file appropriate forms with the State and insurance companies if appropriate.

Recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.

Maintain confidentiality.

Interact effectively and respectfully with others and particularly with individuals whose backgrounds and life experiences are different from one’s own.

Contribute to the overall success and quality of the agency by working constructively and collaboratively with other staff members to address programmatic and agency-wide issues and needs.

Constructively utilize formal and peer supervision to evaluate and improve effectiveness in providing services to clients. This includes active participation in supervision, team meetings and agency meetings.

Pursue ongoing professional development through professional reading and attending relevant workshops and conferences (including Children’s Friend’s core training if appropriate).

Other duties as assigned.
