Job Opportunities

Position:                                  Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer (Temporary 6 Months)

Reports to:                             Administrator, Advancement

Supervises:                             N/A

Minimum Qualifications:       High School diploma with at least one year’s experience in general office processes and oral presentationsBachelor’s Degree preferred. Ability to work flexible hours per program requirements required. Must have and maintain: a valid driver’s license; an automobile fit for the program’s use; and automobile liability insurance in an amount acceptable to the agency.

Abilities:                                 Able to make effective presentations to groups and potential foster parents. Able to work collaboratively, respectfully, and effectively with agency employees, clients, and agency partners so as to provide the agency’s clients quality and respectful services. Must be able to work flexible hours to fulfill the program’s goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Recruits a diverse population of families interested in providing foster care/adoption to infants and young children  by  outreach efforts within the community through collaboration within DCYF, community providers, businesses, religious affiliations and other community organizations

Complies with the agency’s and/or program’s requirements for accurate and timely documentation.

Trains foster parent candidates pursuant to the agency’s and program’s guidelines and standards

Other duties as assigned
