Partners in Permanency is a collaboration between Children’s Friend and the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) that provides comprehensive services to children in DCYF care, along with their birth families and foster families. The primary goal of the program is to find safe, permanent, stable homes for the children as quickly as possible. To do this, the Partners in Permanency staff works with the birth family, the foster family, and the child.

Services for children include:

  • individual and family counseling
  • therapeutic groups
  • case management and service linkage

Services for birth families include:

  • individual, family, or couples counseling
  • support and education (individual and group)
  • advocacy and referral
  • case management and service linkage

Services for foster families include:

  • individualized, home-based support and education
  • support and education groups
  • individual and family counseling

All program participants have access to a 24 hour/7 day a week emergency phone response system.
