A Record-Breaking Holiday Drive!

This year’s Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive kicked off with the Whole Foods Market University Heights location on North Main Street hosting the first Annual Holiday Drive Breakfast. Bonnie Frechette, Marketing Team Leader, provided wholesome treats and good eats for all of those excited about the upcoming Holiday Drive.

The support from donors, large and small, allowed us to serve 762 families and an additional nearly 1,200 children this holiday season. Every donor has made a difference in the life of a child. The Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive was truly remarkable, despite the downturn in the economy over the past year and the increased need. The efforts of all involved have managed to fulfill the lives of our most vulnerable children.

To find out how to get involved with other Children’s Friend events, contact Bryan Ferguson, Director of Development, at 401-276-4323 or bferguson@cfsri.org. Special thanks to our top supporters: the University of Rhode Island, Bank of America, MetLife, Panera Bread, Teknor Apex, Saint Francis de Sales Parish, Citizens Bank, Cat Country, Whole Foods, University Surgical Associates, Roger Williams Park Zoo, Piccerelli, Gilstein & Company, LLP, Providence College, and Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP.

Although we can’t list all of our supporters here, thank you all!

Emergency Crisis Fund:  Donations to this fund will help provide assistance to families who experience a crisis during the year such as a house fire, an illness, or a death.

Program Most Needed:  100% of any donation goes directly to programs as an endowment covers all administrative costs.  Your gift has a significant impact on our ability to support at-risk children and families in our community.
