Digital Media Intern

The Digital Media Internship will develop the student’s ability to effectively and successfully create, and implement a digital media marketing campaign and evaluate, as well as measure its success. Skill building will be placed on creating, applying, and integrating the appropriate tools (using the Children’s Friend website and social media presence) to help the agency build high-value relationships with its constituencies.


  1. Research industry best practices to inform short and long-term planning goals to support the agency’s social media calendar
  2. Create and implement calendar content on Children’s Friend social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In)
  3. Build related reports to analyze the results of identified goals and initiatives
  4. Recommend improvements based on findings


  • Be highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both quickly and independently
  • Have excellent writing and editing skills
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek solutions collaboratively
  • An understanding of the use of WordPress plugins, social media’s landscape, and best practices
  • The ability to create and incorporate graphics and short-form video content is a plus


  • WordPress – ideal candidates will be skilled with customizer, plugins, and plugin installation
  • Hootsuite or other social media management tools
  • Google Analytics
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & In Design)
  • HTML coding skills are a plus
