Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, and/or at least five years’ experience demonstrating progressive and direct fundraising responsibility. Demonstrated track record in core aspects of nonprofit fundraising, with knowledge and experience in cultivation practices, and standard fundraising techniques, including face-to-face solicitation, proposal writing, special events, telephone solicitation, donor cultivation, solicitation of major gifts, including: planned giving and corporate gifts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and management skills. Ability to work independently as well as with diverse individuals from board, and staff, to donors, volunteers and families served. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Responsibilities: Coordinates the fundraising activities of an agency development plan. Develops and implements a plan for identification, relationship building, and solicitation of individual, corporate, and private donors, including cultivation strategies for prospects, engaging staff, Board, or other organizational supporters as appropriate. Manages a portfolio of prospects and initiates contact, meeting with existing and potential donors, making solicitations, moving potential donors toward solicitation and closure. Manages effective systems for tracking and cultivating donors, and prospects through the organizational database. Supports agency campaigns, including the planned giving program, and campaigns to raise capital funds as needed. Supports events, such as fundraisers, press conferences, open houses, annual meetings, community events, public forums and the annual holiday drive.
