Lucy Rose-Correia has been named Chief of Talent for Children’s Friend. Rose-Correia brings over 25 years of experience in Human Resource Management, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to the position. She comes to Children’s Friend from Neighborhood Health Plan of RI.
In her new position, Rose-Correia will oversee Human Resources and the Professional Development and Quality functions critical to the operation and future direction of the agency’s work.
“Lucy joins Children Friend at a pivotal time for the agency as we embark on work to secure and maintain the talent necessary to achieve and continue as the innovative leader for vulnerable young children,” said David Caprio, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
Lucy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Lesley University and is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island, Class of 2015. She holds both SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications in Human Resources and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Holistic
Leadership at Salve Regina University.
Lucy is an active member of her community, serving on several local boards and committees. She is the Project Director for the Cape Verdean Veteran’s Memorial Project, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit. The monument honors Cape Verdean Veterans and recognizes their contribution to the United States Armed Forces. Lucy is also the Founder & President of Esperanca Ja’ Hope Now!, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit whose mission is to assist Cabo Verdean youth in need, especially the disabled locally and globally.
“Lucy’s commitment to her community and extensive experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will be an asset as she helps us as an agency to evolve to best serve our children and families,” stated Caprio.
