Memorial Day

As a nation, we have celebrated Memorial Day for nearly 150 years.

While it has evolved over time, it is a day to remember and pay tribute to those who have served our country and those who gave their lives to uphold our principles of liberty.

As we remember their dedication and commitment, let us also remind ourselves that every hero is a beloved part of a family…be them a father or mother…a brother or sister…or a daughter or son.

And each of those families are heroes as well.

I am grateful that we are a nation filled with heroes….and grateful for all of you.

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than themselves.” – Joseph Campbell
