Providence Talks

What is Providence Talks?
Providence Talks free, early childhood intervention services are designed to help your child succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Our goal is to support parents and caregivers in developing their children’s early language skills with the belief that this will have a positive impact on kindergarten readiness.

How does it work?
Providence Talks combines high quality interventions with new technology, to support families in understanding how many words their child is speaking and hearing each day. Families can choose to have a visit twice a month in their home with a Providence Talks worker or to attend a play group at a center. During these visits, your family will receive a free children’s book and special coaching on how to improve your child’s vocabulary and help prepare them for school.

Who is eligible?

    • Families living in Providence
    • Children 3 months to 2.5 years
