This past weekend employees, donors, community supporters, and families enjoyed a beautiful day at Roger Williams Park supporting the important work that is being done here at Children’s Friend.
Leading up to this event, I know that there was plenty of healthy competition (and a bit of needling!) here at Children’s Friend as many people joined teams and competed for the most fundraising. From the sound of it, this very same thing was going on at Panera Bread as well. Panera Bread has generously been our title sponsor for all 13 years. Congratulations to Team Happy Feet here at Children’s Friend and Team Lincoln at Panera Bread for raising the most money.
Our 5K Walk & Run is a great time for everyone to spend time with each other in a social setting. There were plenty of activities to entertain both the children and the adults. Panera Bread supplied a delicious breakfast and lunch for all who participated.
The funds we raise during both our annual Children’s Friend 5K Walk & Run sponsored by Panera Bread and our fall luncheon make it possible for Children’s Friend to fulfill our mission of helping Rhode Island’s most vulnerable young children. I’m proud to report that every dollar raised goes 100% towards the programs that serve our families.
In addition to our title sponsor, Panera Bread, I would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the 2015 sponsors of the Children’s Friend 5K Walk & Run sponsored by Panera Bread:
J&A General Contractors, LLC
MetLife Auto & Home
Mutual of America
Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP
Community Care Alliance
Grace Episcopal Church
Kahn Litwin, Renza & Co. LTD.
Starkweather & Shepley
Thank you all for making our 13th Annual Children’s Friend 5K Walk & Run sponsored by Panera Bread a great success!
