The High Cost of Early Childhood Trauma

For years we have known that when someone experiences stressors in their early years, there is an impact on a wide range of health outcomes in their later adult years.  A new study has now shown that there is measurable impact in kids as young as 9 years of age.  When there are multiple “adverse” experiences, the outcomes are even worse.

While we worked to align our systems behind impacting these “adverse” experiences with our new integrated electronic record, our goal now is to take this one step further and specifically target those experiences that clearly have such a devastating impact.
