Up Close and Personal – With the Red Sox!

This past week, Children’s Friend celebrated being the recipient of the Red Sox Foundation IMPACT award.  Board members and staff headed up to Boston to cheer on the Red Sox as they played against the Yankees.

While we did not win the game, the event was nothing short of amazing.  Whether it was being down on the field for the Pre Game events to receive a $10,000 check or our seats in the dugout, it was spectacular!.  I was also privileged to be invitedup to the NESN broadcast booth and be interviewed by Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo.

I have decided that Dustin Pedroia is my favorite player.  Aside from the fact that he is a great baseball player who is exceptionally dedicated, it was obvious to me after watching him all afternoon in the dugout that he is also a true team player.

Here is a picture I took of him during the game.  Yes – my seat was that close.
