And with a blink of an eye, it’s September. With Labor Day is behind us, it seems as though the light switch has flipped and the weather changes. With the days of summer waning, we embrace clear and bright September days and look forward to all that autumn has to offer.

One such tradition is our annual Investing in Our Children Luncheon held each October. We’re planning a special hybrid program this year and a unique firsthand opportunity to see our mission in action. Join us outside at our Friendship Center and experience the best part of our work – THE KIDS!! That’s right, we’re putting our mission front and center this year, and we have a few surprises for you! Only a limited number of tickets are available, so get yours today.

We’re also excited to be honoring a longtime partner with the Friend of Children award – The United Way of Rhode Island. The United Way has invested in our very own children and families for many years – and they also have funded important initiatives that better the lives of Rhode Islanders and strengthen our communities. In the past eighteen months, we’ve seen the importance of community illustrated over and over as we battle COVID-19. We honor the United Way for their vital work to strengthen voices, fund communities, and better the lives of all.

Unable to join us in person on October 22? We understand! While we are so happy to be back in person this year and excited to see everyone, we wanted to offer an alternative way to participate. There’s no reason to miss out on this wonderful celebration of children and families. Register for the free broadcast, and don’t miss a thing!

Many thanks to our generous sponsors, our wonderful Luncheon committee, and you for supporting this important event each year. All proceeds raised support our essential programs and services for children and families.
