It’s All About the Kids!

Last Friday, Children’s Friend hosted over 150 corporate partners, supporters, and friends on a beautiful afternoon at our 19th Annual Investing in Our Children Luncheon. This year was unique – we held the event at our very own Friendship Center. With little voices of laughter lofting through the air from the playground and a surprise parade through the tent from the children from our program, our mission was the center of everything.

Children’s Friend honored The United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI) with the Friend of Children Award for its long history of investing in Rhode Island children and families. The United Way has invested in our very own children in families for many years, including supporting basic human needs through our Drop-in Center and Emergency Crisis Fund. During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, UWRI provided much-needed immediate funding to support community organizations.

Congratulations to the United Way of Rhode Island, and many thanks to all who made this event a record-breaking fundraising event for Children’s Friend.

If you were unable to join us on Friday but still want to support our vital mission, there are still ways to help our children and families!
