Labor Day Weekend – The Unofficial End of Summer

While this year has brought much change and uncertainty in the face of a worldwide pandemic, Labor Day weekend is the passing of one season and the beginning of the next. It also marks a day to honor hard work in this country. I want to take this opportunity to highlight our dedicated staff, who have gone above and beyond to ensure that Children’s Friend services continued, and the needs of our children and families were met during the last six months of quarantine and now through RI’s phased reopening.

And with fall comes the start of a new academic year for Children’s Friend and again, so much will look and feel different from last September. After a successful and safe reopening of onsite childcare and our Summer Learning and Enrichment Program, we will welcome children back to our centers next week. At the same time, distance learning will also begin for some of our students. With safety as the priority, we continue to work in new ways to provide our most vulnerable children with programs and services.

Thank you to our staff!
