Meeting Basic Needs During the Coronavirus

In the past few weeks, as the coronavirus has changed so much in everyone’s lives, we’ve been sharing information on everything from how to talk with your kids about the virus to what we’re doing differently to serve families here at Children’s Friend.  The coronavirus is also impacting our communities’ ability to meet basic needs in a new way, so today we want to share some resources from our partners at the Economic Progress Institute.

The Economic Progress Institute’s COVID-19 page has factsheets on getting health coverage and accessing money and food.  We especially want to highlight the information for undocumented immigrants and DACA, TPS, and DED holders, who are among those in our communities who are particularly vulnerable.

Please use this information yourself or share it with someone who needs it.  If you need help beyond this, we are here for you – Children’s Friend’s programs are still enrolling throughout the coronavirus!  Now more than ever, we all need to be good neighbors and good friends.
