This week, Children’s Friend continued on its “reopening” journey. We welcomed back almost 300 preschool children into our Summer Learning and Enrichment Program. Our summer program is operating out of 9 sites, with reduced classroom capacity, health screenings, enhanced cleaning protocols, and strict safety measures in place. It was great to see more of our classrooms come alive with our kids and staff.
Our “reopening” journey at Children’s Friend is guided by a task force of internal leaders and external experts. Our decisions are made balancing public health advice, the needs of those we serve, the safety and well-being of our staff, and the resources we have available to us. As we continue to navigate this unprecedented challenge, we will continue to make decisions in a deliberate and prudent manner, just as we have throughout this pandemic.
